Becoming a Blonde

I want to be blonde!

Here are a few things you need to know

Going lighter is a process that can take more than 1 visit to achieve the desired look. Especially if you have naturally darker hair, coarse hair, or previously colored hair. please speak with a professional about your options.

Blondes get their hair lifted every 4-6 weeks and sometimes require a toning service in-between their full service appointment. After your blonding service I recommend the use of a purple toning shampoo/ conditioner to protect your color and keep your pretty blonde hair from turning brassy. You will need to invest in a good clarifying shampoo as well to help your hair from yellowing from hard water and product build up, as a moisturizing deep conditioner to properly replenish your hair after being chemically treated.

-Your hair will be put into foils/plastic wrap,or open air processed to achieve your desired look, after the color has been applied you will process as long as desired by your professional hair colorist.

Here is an example of what a full foil would look like.

After your hair has been lightened then usually a toner or multiple colors are applied to the hair to give more depth and help achieve the desired tone of blonde.

Here are a few examples of different types of blondes.

Lastly please use heat protecting hair products and reduce the heat on your styling tools below 380 degrees. This will help maintain the integrity of your hair and also keep your hair from getting a brassy burnt yellow tint. And I can not stress this enough... Blonde hair takes time especially if you want to be an ice queen.
